HHYC/HKSF Assistant Instructor Training Course

Hebe Haven Yacht Club has a very proud history of supporting Youth Sailors and allowing them to progress to a responsible level as part of the Sail Training Team.

HHYC encourages younger sailors to take the next step in the industry and enjoy working on a number of programs, courses & events during the year, especially on weekends & during school holidays.

We run an annual Assistant Instructor Training weekend at the start of each year, to prepare the next generation of young members of the Sailing Team to be ready for the coming season. We have seen fantastic results from individual members of the team, who have really grown and matured into key members of the Sailing Team.

We are also very proud of the number of young sailors who have gone onto become qualified Instructors, who we see working & running courses at Hebe Haven during school holiday periods when the Centre is extremely busy. These guys are role models for our Centre and speak volumes for what we are all about at Hebe Haven Yacht Club.

This qualification course is now also a recognized HKSF (Hong Kong Sailing Federation) certificate course for those sailors who hold the HKSF Level 3 sailing skills certificate.
