Safety Officer

Job Description:

The Safety Officer is responsible for developing processes and procedures, carrying out risk analysis, safety training and monitoring.  Assist the Club in promoting the safety and health of persons employed.

Responsibilities:

  • To advise the Club as to measures to be taken in the safety and health and implement such measures;
  • To inspect the workplace to identify potential hazards and report the findings with recommendation for correction;
  • To investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences and report with recommendations for prevention
  • To advise the proprietor of any repair or maintenance in respect of premises, plant and equipment that ought to be carried out in the interest of safety and health;
  • To assist in the receiving, discussing and counter signing reports submitted by the Managers;
  • To prepare and submit monthly report to the Club in a specified form;
  • To assist the Club in preparing a Safety Management System;
  • To assist the Club in managing staff training, tool box talks, and emergency drills;
  • To assist the Club in coordinating regular inspections of all the premises and all activities whether on or off the premises.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or higher diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or Construction related subjects:
  • Familiar with requirements under relevant Safety Regulations in Hong Kong;
  • With minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, with exposures from marine an advantage but not a must
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and multi-tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken in English and Cantonese
  • Good computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing)
  • Immediate available is highly preferred

 

Project Assistant

Job Description:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Assistant will provide administrative assistance to the Project Manager (PM) and the Planning and Works Committee (PWC).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate monthly meetings with all PWC members
  • Prepare meeting agenda, Power-Point and minutes for PWC monthly meetings
  • Keep an up-to-date record of all the PWC minutes in both hard copy and soft copy on the company’s SharePoint shared drive
  • Co-ordinate projects, meetings and events, as required
  • Update SharePoint files as required
  • Support PM with clerical works including, but not limited to, preparing reports, presentations, letter writing and filing/retrieval/request of technical drawings
  • Check incoming emails and reply professionally, and CC relevant parties
  • Deal with inquiries and complaints received in the Project Office
  • Filing of documents related to the projects handled by the Project Manager and the Planning and Works Committee
  • Communicating internally with different departments concerned and externally with government, consultants, contractors and third parties in relation to projects assigned by the PM
  • Preparing, translating (English/traditional Chinese) and circulating relevant notices issued by the PM.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor educated, preferably with 2-3 years relevant working experience in a similar support role
  • Exposures to Projects and Building Services/Construction environment an advantage
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and multi-tasks

Technical Assistant

Job Description:

The responsibility of the Technical Assistant (TA) is to assist the Club’s Project Manager in giving effect to the Club’s development plans. The TA will help facilitate key objectives, including:

  • accelerating all Planning and Works (PWC) projects required to achieve regulatory compliance at the Club by 2025;
  • overseeing the renewal of the private recreational lease (“PRL”) starting in 2025 with a view to renewal by June 2027; and

ensuring that all projects run at the Club comply with all regulations and are completed in a safe and timely manner in line with the Club’s Safety Policy, within budget, and with due care and consideration of all related stakeholders, including club members, staff members, the local community in the environs and related government departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing quantitative user needs and design briefs.
  • Preparing schematic designs for submission to the Club to obtain the approval of the regulatory authorities.
  • Assisting the PM to establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
  • Coordinating with all consultants to ensure that the design brief is being achieved and delivered on time for each project.
  • Coordinating with each contractor to ensure that contract objectives are being achieved and delivered on time for each project. This will include daily recorded inspections and scheduled weekly progress meetings (with agreed minutes).
  • Managing and attending all routine site inspections by government departments after site works commence up to the issue of the Occupancy Permit, including resolving all issues identified on these inspections.
  • Assisting the PM as required in preparing specifications, tender documents and related information for each project.
  • Assisting the PM in submitting project deliverables and ensuring that projects adhere to the Club’s standards regarding safety, regulatory compliance and financial control.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analysing and summarising relevant information.
  • Coordinating the development of user manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, training materials and other documents necessary to enable successful implementation and turnover of the project to the client.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in relevant subjects (e.g. E&M, architecture, structural engineering or surveying)
  • At least 3-4 years of working experience on construction and building-related projects.
  • Experience working with a project team and site coordination is an advantage.
  • Competent at AutoCAD and ArchiCAD or equivalent.
  • Competent at MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project
